Fireworks already?

We were watching TV and heard some loud booms. We though it was Jenn and Dallas's speakers in the basement. We realized it must be fireworks. Yup, there they were. We grabbed the camera trying to take some nice colors in the night sky. Happy 4th of July everyone!

It's Up to You

I gave you life, but I cannot live it for you.
I can teach you things, but I cannot make you learn.
I can give you directions, but I cannot always be there to lead you.
I can allow you freedom, but I cannot account for it.
I can take you to church, but I cannot make you believe.
I can teach you right from wrong, but I cannot decide for you.
I can give you love, but I cannot force it upon you.
I can teach you to be a friend, but I cannot make you one.
I can teach you to share, but I cannot make you unselfish.
I can teach you respect, but I cannot force you to show honor.
I can grieve about your report card but I canot make you study,
I can advise you about friends, but I cannot choose them for you.
I can teach you about sex and the facts of life, but I cannot decide for you.
I can tell you about drinking, but I cannot say “no” for you.
I can warn you about drugs, but I cannot prevent you from using them.
I an teach you about goals and dreams, but I cannot achieve them for you.
I can teach you kindness, but I cannot force you to be kind.
I can warn you about sin, but I cannot make your morals.
I can love you as a [daughter] son, but I cannot place you in God’s family
I can pray for you and your future, but I cannot make you walk with God.
I can tell you how to live, but I cannot give you eternal life.

Our Saturday Adventure

This past Saturday we decided to take a little adventure and try out the new UTA "FrontRunner" train from Ogden to Salt Lake City. We left the Ogden Station at about 6:08PM that evening and traveled to Salt lake City. There we took the Trax train to downtown and then walked around the city, had dinner, walked some more and then took the train ride back to Ogden. It was an interesting ride where we saw the route to Salt Lake from a whole new perspective and saw many interesting people along the way.

Happy Birthday Jayden!!!!

We love you Olivia!

Olivia's rolling all over the place. We can't keep track of where she ends up. These are pictures I took of her sitting in the hallway. She just barely started sitting up by herself. I was surprised when I found her sitting up for the 1st time. When she saw me she squeeled and started to laugh because we were all so surprised. I have enjoyed playing with Oliva and watching her grow and get to see her cute personality. As you can see she is almost doing the splits.

Here is Olivia with her sun hat on. I think it she looks like a pretty flower. Kids are fun to dress up.

Becky and Jaxon for weekend

Becky and Jaxon came and stayed for the weekend. We had a great time going out shopping. I love it when you both come to visit us. Jaxon loves to play the WII games and is really good at it. We have to ask him for some help. He's a smart little guy. Becky was trying to help Olivia get up on her knees to crawl. For now she rolls every where and under everything. She is lots of fun. Thanks for spending a few days and one night with us. Lets do it again soon. We love you!

Having fun at the lake again

We found out that we were looking at the wrong lot at Bear Lake last week. So we went again to see where it was and was happy it was on the North side of the street which is level and had some what grass. Jennifer , Dallas and Olivia meet us there. We roasted a few almost black marshmellows, (yum) . Rode the four wheeler on all the dirt roads there looking at other cabing for ideas. Then we decided it would be fun to rent a boat for an hour ride around the lake. It was a little cold so we tried to hide from the wind. That lake was a beautiful blue. We had our usual raspberry shake then went back home through Wyoming. We found it was longer to go through that way but we didn't have the winding canyon roads. It was a fun day with some of the family.
